- Intro
- How was your day?
- How was your weekend?
- I mostly just did errands
- Coding
-
Looking to install/learn about two things today
-
- nbdev
- DAGsHUB
-
-
Wanted to install because
- NBdev
- DAGsHUB
- We already have multiple models for MeaLeon and it’s hard to judge which is "better". As we move forward, this gets even harder to qualify since we’re looking at new performance metrics
- For this, it looks like we need MLFlow integrated
-
nbdev is cool: it has testing built into a GitHub Action, but it does seem to take a while. If it finishes testing before bed, add a new commit with DAGsHub and maybe MLFlow and have the test run overnight
-
From hittaus: ok, lemme suggest: make a stab at the tech first. Take algo, verity the example works. Replace with random data that has same as yours. Run it. Make sure you’re happy about usefulness. Prep 10% more data. Check again. Repeat last two steps. so start with working thing that you keep working instead of working hours to prep data that might not get fed
- Can use recipes already in the scraped database
-
- TODO Update MeaLeon command
- TODO subscribe to Epicurious and/or NYTimes cooking, if the finances look ok
- From chat/derail
- Possible other source of recipes is this repo
- How are the "canonical" recipes determined in this repo?
- This is a cool repo for knowledge searching: awesome-machine-learning
- Demo of MeaLeon
- Bulgolgi (Korean):
- Seafood risotto (Italian):
- Shrimp creole risotto (maybe too similar)
- Fillet of Salmon with Fennel, Tomatoes, and Risotto (same name, it’s repeated)
- Shellfish Stew Provencale
- Golden Fried Pumpkin Purses (not sure how it’s similar to risotto, but this looks very interesting)
- Mock Risotto (basically the same, but with no stirring)
- Also look at supercook, which takes ingredients you have and suggests recipes
- Maybe feed search into this?
- Possible other education is the Angela Yu 100 Days of Code course with free previews here
- What software for presentations?
- Spoiler: PowerPoint
- Data science removed from Harvard’s suggested high school math background
- What’s a better term, data science or big data?
- We had good discussion on ML/Big Data/Statistician
- AI winter coming?
- SQL is turning FIFTY
- Possible other source of recipes is this repo
- We got raided by AriaADM
